First There Were Two, Then There Were None!

We've been watching as our caterpillars get bigger and bigger everyday. But this morning, something was wrong. They had disappeared! We looked all over the lemon tree, but couldn't find any chrysalides, so we figured that they were eaten by a hungry bird or perhaps a lizard. It was so disappointing. I wish I had put them in a terrarium sooner.

But then, later this morning, I looked up and saw...


A CHRYSALIS!!! Hanging from the roof over our front porch.

By the way, the caterpillars weren't the only ones enjoying our lemon tree:



The beautifully-fragranced blossoms are being pollinated by the bees, which is encouraging. We should have lemons in no time!
